Thought we would spend a warm evening at the park. My son and husband love to play roller hockey together and it gave me a chance to capture one of my favorite moody subjects. She is a feisty one, that one. Even so, her candid moments never fail to provide some artistic flair.
We picked the peonies earlier in the day. Since they are pink, she willingly agreed to carry them. That night, she saw every little girl playing at the park as "her friend" and later gave one of them one of her pink flowers. I need to hold onto these flickers of kindness and contentment coming from this little whirlwind of a 2 year old who drives me to the brink every day. Because one day, I won't have a little barefoot brown eyed little girl screaming "no!" anymore. She won't run away from me and look back devilishly. Even so, I'm sure I'll always see her that way.
